Resolved - We want to inform you about recent changes introduced in the latest Windows update that may affect how you access remote connections.

This update introduces new security popup windows during the login process for remote servers. These messages are standard Windows security warnings related to connecting to systems outside of your local network. Please note that nothing has changed on our end from a security standpoint; however, these additional prompts may disrupt your normal login experience.

The good news is that we have identified a fix that prevents the new popup windows from appearing and restores the normal login process.

The fix is to add an entry into the registry on your local computer. You will need admin permissions to do this.
Registry fix-
1. Open the registry editor from the start menu
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Policies>Microsoft>Windows NT>Terminal Services>Client
3. Right click in the right hand side of the editor and choose New>DWORD (32-bit) Value
4. Rename the new entry to: RedirectionWarningDialogVersion
5. Change the new entry value to: 1

Saturday, April 11th, 2026, we will need to update and reboot all routers starting at 10:00 PM PST / 01:00 AM EST in order to install WatchGuard Recommended/Critical Updates that recently were released. The update window should take a total of 1-3 hours. Please make sure to exit QuickBooks and other applications by 10:00 PM PST / 01:00 AM EST and click Start>0-LogOff out of your server sessions. We will send a notification after the updates are complete for you to log back in.
